peasantsWelcome to Fleet Paws, dog walking and home visits in the Fleet area of Hampshire. Let me introduce myself.

My name is Dexter and I’m a Pointer cross. I was rescued by Ania, whom I now own and have trained to respond to my every need. Well, almost…she still makes me get off the sofa if another human needs the seat, but you can’t have everything. She’s my partner in this venture and, truth be told, does all the real work – I just run around and have fun mostly. Indeed, it’s a dog’s life!

After years of practice (and all the training we dogs have given her), she’s jolly good around dogs. She even has a Diploma in Canine Behaviour, and should have her Dog Training Diploma shortly as well. She’s quite pleased with this, so I do my best to look impressed and let her have the credit for my being a good dog. Other dogs seem to like her too. They’re always running up to say hello, even though she doesn’t usually have any treats.

She also tells me that she’s ‘Fully Insured”. I have no idea what this means and when I cock my head quizzically, she just starts explaining about “PLI”, “Care, Custody and Control”, “Legal Cover”, “Loss of Keys” and things like that.  I listen attentively for a while, wag my tail and then settle down to cleaning my gentledog’s bits.
